Chord diagram
Radial network diagram
This is a diagram where arcs connect categories or entities around a circle to show relationships or flows. The width of the arcs represents the strength of the relationship. It's ideal for comparing interconnections within a dataset and the strength of them.
Too many connections or categories can make the diagram difficult to interpret. Use colour strategically to highlight specific connections or flows, and provide clear labels for each category or entity. Don't use if the relationship is directional, such as investment flowing from one entity into another.
To visualise collaboration between different company departments and highlight the frequency of collaboration.
