Doughnut chart
Ring chart
This is a circular chart with a hole in the centre, similar to a pie chart. It's often used to display parts of a whole while providing space for additional information.
Doughnut charts can be better than pie charts because they make it easier to see differences in the overall values rather than just focusing on the size of each slice. Limit the number of categories and use colour to highlight specific segments. Label each segment with its percentage or value. Don't use if there are only small differences in proportions.
1. To show the proportion of employees who work remotely, in-office or hybrid.
2. To show how many employees believe their company is effectively addressing climate change.
