This is a diagram that separates parts of an object to show how they fit together. By scaling the sizes of the parts, it visualises quantitative data by illustrating part-to-whole relationships, hierarchical structures, flows, processes and comparisons.

Tips for use and when NOT to use

Label parts clearly and use lines or arrows to show connections between parts. Don't use if there are no distinct parts or if the relationships between the parts are not important to highlight.

2. To show what influences employee engagement by showing different factors radiating from an 'overall engagement' score.
