Gantt chart

Alternative name:

Harmonogram

This is a bar chart that illustrates a project schedule by displaying the start and finish dates of tasks and their dependencies.

Tips for use and when NOT to use

Use a clear timeline with appropriate units (e.g. days, weeks, months). Colour-code tasks to distinguish between different projects, owners and categories, and consider adding milestones or deadlines. Don't use if there are too many tasks, the project timeline is very short, or the tasks are not dependent on each other.
