Geographic heatmap
Geo heatmap; thermal map
This is a map that uses colour intensity to represent the magnitude or density of a variable across different geographic regions. It's different from a chloropleth map because it only highlights specific points and/or regions.
Choose a suitable colour palette that accurately represents the data magnitude and is accessible to people who have a colour vision deficiency. Provide a clear legend to explain the colour scale. Don't use this chart if your data isn't geographically specific or if there are too many regions with similar values, which could obscure any patterns.
To show the geographic distribution of survey responses about how government policies support small businesses.
