Parallel lines chart
This is a chart with multiple parallel axes, where each axis represents a different variable and lines connect values across axes to show patterns and relationships.
Limit the number of variables to avoid creating complex lines. Ideally, use when the scales you're comparing are all the same, or standardise your data to make comparison easier. Arrange your axes so that relationships between adjacent variables are meaningful — relationships between adjacent variables are easier to understand than relationships between non-adjacent variables. Highlight any outliers or important relationships. Don't use if your number of variables is too large or if the relationships between variables aren't your main focus.
