This is a circular chart that's divided into slices to illustrate numerical proportions.
To keep it clear and easy to read, limit the number of categories — ideally, no more than six. Don't use if you want to show small differences in proportions (in which case a donut chart might be better). Don't use if you're comparing a lot of categories; a stacked bar might be more appropriate here.
To show the proportion of respondents who agree, disagree or are neutral on a particular policy issue.
