Proportional area chart half circle
This is a variation of the proportional area chart (circle) where the circle is cut in half with each half representing a different value. It's useful for directly comparing two values side by side.
Circles are best here, because other shapes can be difficult to interpret. Clearly label each half of the circle and use contrasting colours. Don't use if you need to compare more than two categories or when the proportions are very similar. And don't use if you want to accurately show values — this chart is typically used for presentational purposes rather than for analysis.
To show the proportion of respondents who have adopted a new technology, with the half circle representing 100%.
