This is half of a doughnut chart, which you can use to show proportions of a whole with a focus on visual simplicity and saving space.
Doughnut charts can be better than pie charts because they make it easier to see differences in the overall values rather than just focusing on the size of each slice. Limit the number of categories and use colour strategically to highlight specific segments. Label each segment with its percentage or value. Don't use if there are only small differences in proportions.
